👉Today’s alert is Surf Air Mobility Inc. (NYSE: SRFM)👈

Surf Air Mobility caught traders’ attention on September 23, 2026, after announcing a definitive agreement with SkyDance Air for OperatorOS, its Palantir-powered flight operations platform for Part 135 operators. This is Surf Air’s second commercial OperatorOS contract, moving it closer to management’s stated goal of having five operators live on the platform by year-end. The deal is particularly interesting because Surf Air will receive a percentage of revenue generated from SkyDance flights managed through OperatorOS, creating a usage-linked revenue stream rather than simply another software deployment. SkyDance currently operates three Cirrus Vision Jets and plans to expand to approximately 10 aircraft during 2027. SRFM shares responded strongly, closing September 23 at roughly $0.88, up 14.8% on the day.

Private and regional aviation still relies heavily on fragmented software, manual workflows, disconnected scheduling tools, and—in some operations—paper-based records. Managing crews, aircraft availability, maintenance, dispatch, scheduling, reporting, and customer demand across separate systems can make scaling a Part 135 operation increasingly complicated. Surf Air is attacking that bottleneck with SurfOS, whose OperatorOS product brings aircraft scheduling, crew planning, flight management and operational data into one AI-enabled platform. Surf Air says the broader private aviation market remains fragmented and inefficient, while OperatorOS is designed to give operators real-time visibility and help improve aircraft and pilot utilization.

⚙️The Technicals

🚀Explosive Catalysts

SkyDance Air Signs OperatorOS Agreement — Second Commercial Customer (September 23, 2026)
  • Surf Air signed a definitive agreement to deploy OperatorOS at SkyDance Air, described as the second-largest single-fleet operator of Cirrus Vision Jets in North America. The agreement gives Surf Air a percentage of revenue from SkyDance flights managed through OperatorOS. Importantly, SkyDance expects to grow from three aircraft today to roughly 10 in 2027, potentially increasing the amount of activity running through Surf Air’s platform. This deal also puts Surf Air one step closer to its target of five operators live on OperatorOS by the end of 2026.

FAA Authorizes OperatorOS as an Electronic System of Record (August 26, 2026)
  • The FAA authorized OperatorOS as a system of record for electronic signatures, records and manuals under the Part 135 certificate used by Surf Air’s Southern Airways Express and Mokulele Airlines operations. Pilots, mechanics, dispatchers and trainers can therefore move workflows such as crew records, training documents, weight-and-balance information, safety reports and aircraft manuals away from paper processes. The authorization is notable as Surf Air begins selling OperatorOS externally because it demonstrates the platform operating within a regulated Part 135 environment.

Surf Air Mobility is a Los Angeles-based air mobility and aviation technology company. Its business combines scheduled regional airline operations, private charter services and its SurfOS AI-enabled aviation software platform. The company operates Southern Airways Express and Mokulele Airlines and uses the operating data generated by its aviation businesses to develop, test and deploy SurfOS. Its software products include BrokerOS for charter brokers, OperatorOS for aircraft operators and OwnerOS for aircraft owners, with the platform built using technology from Palantir.

💎 Why This Company Stands Out

One of Surf Air’s clearest differentiators is that it isn't developing aviation software purely from the outside looking in. The company operates airline businesses itself, giving it real-world aircraft, crew, dispatch, scheduling and commercial data on which to develop and test SurfOS before taking the software to third-party customers. OperatorOS has been used internally across Southern Airways and Mokulele Airlines since 2025. Pairing that operating experience with Palantir Foundry and AIP gives Surf Air an unusual combination of aviation operations and enterprise AI infrastructure. The emerging commercial traction from customers such as SkyDance Air, alongside the earlier Enterprise BrokerOS agreement with Wheels Up will be an important measure of whether that internal technology can become a meaningful external software business.
